Led by the Edinburgh Napier University (ENU), AtLAS has conducted a compact research study to gain a better understanding of athlete entrepreneurship, its requirements, opportunities and challenges. In total, six focus groups with entrepreneurship experts were organized across Europe and 177 high-level athletes responded to the Europe-wide survey surrounding the following aspects:
- Athletically developed competences
- Required elements for online learning
- Required pedagogical approaches for online learning
- Desired content within online learning
Dr. Tom Campbell, AtLAS project member and programme lead of the ENU BA “Business & Enterprise in Sport”, summarizes the main research findings in the following video.
The first AtLAS athlete entrepreneurship course will start in January 2021, get in touch for more information!
